Player Development

Great golf instruction is built on engagement, accessibility, and a student-first approach. My goal is to create an environment where golfers of all skill levels feel confident, motivated, and excited to improve. A strong instructional program not only benefits the individual golfer but also contributes to the long-term health of the club—fostering member retention, increasing participation, and strengthening the club’s sense of community.

  • Instruction should be both structured and adaptable, catering to each player's unique needs and learning style. With over 400 private lessons conducted, I utilize video analysis and training aids as external cues to help students develop a better feel for their swing and technique. Whether in a one-on-one session or a group clinic, my approach emphasizes fundamental skill development, confidence building, and long-term enjoyment of the game.

  • A thriving women’s golf program is built on inclusivity, flexibility, and community. At Blue Mound, I developed a Women’s Golf Academy that welcomed 42 participants over a 20-week season, generating $9,500 in revenue. The program was well received by the membership and saw a 17% increase in participation from year one to year two. By incorporating a mix of clinics, on-course play, and structured coaching, I create a supportive learning environment that encourages skill development, camaraderie, and enjoyment of the game.

  • A strong junior golf program goes beyond simply supervising kids on the range—it instills fundamentals, sportsmanship, and a true love for the game. At Blue Mound, I completely transformed the junior golf program by researching, presenting, and gaining approval from the golf committee to implement the Operation 36 platform. Previously, the program lacked structure and was not instruction-focused, but through my efforts, we created a curriculum that prioritizes skill development and measurable progress. The new program quickly gained traction, attracting 60+ participants and generating $16,000 in annual revenue. Additionally, I launched the club’s first-ever program for younger children, introducing Birdie Basics—a story-driven, child-centered learning approach designed by Kate Tempesta. This initiative has provided a fun and engaging entry point for children ages 3-6, helping them build excitement for the game and creating a seamless pathway into our Operation 36 program as they grow. Through structured instruction, engaging competitions, and developmental play, I have helped create a junior golf experience that not only retains young golfers but strengthens their long-term connection to the game.

  • The key to effective player development is engagement—both in the learning process and in the relationships formed between instructor and student. Golfers improve most when they trust in the instruction, feel encouraged, and stay motivated to practice. Whether through private lessons, group clinics, or junior programming, my goal is to create meaningful learning experiences that lead to measurable improvement and lifelong enjoyment of the game.

  • "We are so grateful for you and your gift of teaching golf. You have helped us all piece together a more comprehensive game. You have also helped us enhance our social lives and increase our time spent together as a family. No way we'd enjoy the Club as much without you!"

  • "When our family was on vacation in Montana last week, Moses played in the Junior Club Championship at the Yellowstone Club - and he won the “Cubs” division! I caddied for him and he played great. He has improved so much with your lessons this summer. Thanks for working with him!"

    Heather Ramirez, Blue Mound Member

  • "We appreciate that you have initiated changes at Blue Mound to untap and prioritize Women’s and Youth golf. We know that your creation of programs, tee changes, and enthusiasm to help those new to golf makes our Club so much stronger. Thank you for all you add to our Club Culture."

LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Milwaukee

In 2025, Molly Braid, PGA, LPGA, and I co-founded the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Milwaukee chapter, creating a welcoming and empowering environment for young girls to develop their golf skills. As a Co-Site Director, this initiative has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to introduce more young players to the game in a fun, engaging, and supportive setting.

The LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program is dedicated to inspiring confidence and leadership through golf, providing girls with opportunities to learn, play, and connect both on and off the course. By fostering a positive learning experience, we aim to grow the game and ensure that more young female golfers feel comfortable and excited about playing.
