Tournaments
Each tournament should showcase the unique qualities of the club while creating memorable, first-class experiences for members and guests. It is the job of the professional staff to uphold the highest standards in aligning tournament programming with the club’s goals and traditions.
Tournament Experience
I’ve had the privilege of planning and executing a wide variety of tournaments—ranging from nationally recognized championships like the 2022 U.S. Mid-Amateur at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club to oversubscribed Member-Guests, Member-Members, and Season-Long Match Play events at both Blue Mound Golf &CC and Green Bay CC. Managing 25 to 60 events per season has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to consistently deliver exceptional experiences for members, guests, and championship-level competitors alike.
Strategic Planning & Committee Collaboration
My involvement begins long before the first tee shot. I work closely with event committees, tournament chairs, and outside organizers to shape the vision and direction of each tournament. Together, we determine themes, formats, tee gifts, prizes, and overall logistics.
To assist in the decision-making process, I create custom tee gift proposal sheets, coordinate with vendors to secure quality merchandise at preferred pricing, and oversee all ordering and display of tee gifts for smooth day-of distribution. I also design promotional flyers, establish registration timelines, and ensure ample lead time for planning and procurement.
Budget creation and management are central to my planning process—balancing creativity with financial responsibility to deliver exceptional events within set parameters.

Tournament Building & Event Design
With extensive experience using Golf Genius Tournament Management software, I build customized tournament systems that suit the scale and complexity of any event. From intimate member gatherings to multi-day, multi-format competitions, I create everything from pairings and scorecards to proximity markers, event cards, and mobile scoring experiences.
I take ownership of staff scheduling to ensure each area of the operation is fully prepared and properly staffed. Additionally, I design and produce printed event booklets and online tournament websites to elevate the player experience.
Execution & Presentation
Tournament days demand focus, adaptability, and seamless coordination. I take an active role in all aspects of event execution—from course setup and player check-in to managing pace of play and working closely with the golf and food & beverage teams to ensure every detail is handled.
One of the standout elements of my tournament presentation is the quality of my hand-written scoreboards. My clean, consistent calligraphy adds a polished, professional touch that enhances the overall experience and leaves a lasting impression on participants.

Post-Event Results & Reporting
After each tournament, I compile detailed results sheets, design follow-up flyers highlighting champions, and archive key data including participant numbers, event formats, and player/staff feedback.
This thorough documentation not only helps measure success but also supports planning improvements year over year, building a library of insights that strengthens the club’s event offerings over time.
Championship Experience
In 2022, I was part of the operations team for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, with Blue Mound Golf & Country Club serving as the co-host venue alongside Erin Hills, the primary site. Blue Mound held practice rounds and the first round of stroke play, helping determine the match play field.
Following the opening round, historic rainfall presented major challenges in course preparation and maintenance. Our team responded quickly to adjust plans, support course recovery, and maintain a high standard of play under tough conditions. I was responsible for managing the golf shop and assisting with driving range operations throughout the week.
